The ephemeral art of sand animation

The art of sand animation differs from other types of visual art in that it is not fixed on canvas or paper. The sand pattern is created in about two hours, and is destroyed in a second to free up space for the next picture. Friends often ask me about why I chose this particular genre? I answer that I like sand show because every drawing appears for a minute and disappears forever. And the viewer tries to remember this unique moment. But in the modern digital world, nothing disappears without a trace. I can easily take video of my drawings, and on each of my shows, the audience must be filmed on the camera in the phone. Thus, my work instantly goes on an eternal journey through social networks.
